Abstract:

Almond leaf scorch is also called “golden death”, is a bacterial disease affecting almond trees. The pathogen causing almond leaf scorch disease is “Xylella fastidiosa”, with numerous hosts. This bibliometric analysis had been conducted to understand the active authors, organizations, journals, and countries involved in the research domain of “Almond leaf scorch”. All published articles related to “Almond leaf scorch” from “Scopus”, were analyzed using the VOS viewer to develop analysis tables and visualization maps. This article had set the objective to consolidate the literature regarding the “Almond leaf scorch” and also to find out the trends related to the same. The most active journals related to this plant disease are Plant Disease and Science. The USA is the country where the active country in the research domain. The top organization focusing on almond leaf scorch was the University of California, USA. The most active author who had made valuable contributions related to almond leaf scorch are Chen J., Purcell A.H., Davis M.J., and Thomson S.V.
