| Abstract:

The review was compiled according to the scientific literature for the period from 1970 to 2016, which shows the chemical composition of various parts of the oat sowing Avena sativa L., shows the types of pharmacological effects experimentally established for individual compounds, their groups and total extracts. For the main chemical components the structural formulas (National Center for Biotechnology Information) are given.
