Difficulties of Dispensing Prescription Drugs in Pharmacies

Author: IRINA FILINA, ANGELINA G. KHVOROSTYANOVA, IRINA V. SPICHAK, GALINA V. VARENYKH, NATALIA V. GRIGORENKO
Abstract: As a consequence of a sociological survey among pharmaceutical specialists and the population, we discovered that clients of drugstores often try to buy medical drugs without doctor's orders to treat themselves, ignoring doctor visits. Also, we noted that sometimes some scientists write out prescriptions according to the international non-patented name with spelling errors. In practice, there is no feedback between a pharmacist and a doctor. To improve the quality of patient care, it is essential to uncover a conceptual model of message communication between pharmaceutical companies and pharmacies.
