Novel Drug Delivery: Transdermal Patches

Abstract: Novel Drug delivery is the process of administration of pharmaceutical dosage form through newer and different route. Transdermal delivery is the one of the best delivery for the transportation of drug to the systemic circulation and reached at the target site to show the therapeutic effect. Transdermal delivery is the best route as compared to the oral drug delivery. Transdermal drug delivery avoid hepatic first pass metabolism. Transdermal delivery is achieved by the transdermal patches which are in adhesive in nature. Transdermal drug delivery is the controlled and modified drug delivery system which applied topically for achievement of long time therapeutic effect. Transdermal patches are adhering in nature which avoid the painful delivery, nausea and enhance patience compliance.
