The purpose of this research was to develop mouth dissolving tablet of Posaconazole by direct compression method. The drug will be directly absorbed into systemic circulation through buccal mucosa and lead to produce immediate action. Posaconazole is a broad-spectrum, second generation triazole compound with antifungal activity. It is used in the prevention of invasive fungal infections due to aspergillosis and candida in high risk patients. The marketed oral suspensions and tablets should be taken with food or water to maximize systemic absorption. Posaconazole mouth dissolving tablet has been developed with improved bioavailability that can be administered without regard to food or liquid. It was prepared by using super disintegrants like sodium starch glycolate & sodium croscarmellose different concentrations & evaluated for pre-compression parameters such as bulk density, angle of repose, compatibility etc. The prepared batches of tablets were evaluated for hardness, weight variation, friability, disintegration time & in-vitro dissolution profile. Among all these batches F5 was considered to be best formulation which release up to 91.41 % in 12 min.
