Etiological characteristics and clinical features of Cushing’s syndrome in childhood, adolescence and adulthood according to circulation data

Abstract: In this article, the authors cite literature data on the frequency and structure of the causes of hypercorticism in children and adolescents. Based on an analysis of clinic data over 20 years, it was found that among patients with various forms of hypercorticism in this age period, patients with ACTH-depend Cushing Syndrome prevailed - 26 (52.0%), group 2 - ACTH-independ Cushing Syndrome - 8 (16.0%) Group 3 - juvenile dispituitarism (UD) - 7 (14.0%), group 4 - obesity with a rhythm of secretion of ACTH / cortisol secretion - 6 (12.0%) and group 5 - iatrogenic hypercorticism - 3 (6.0%). All patients received conservative therapy, while surgery to remove 1 adrenal gland was performed by 4 patients of group 2, radiation therapy of the pituitary gland was performed by 2 patients of group 1, transnasal selective pituitary gland -2. patients of the 1st group. In the postoperative period, 1 patient of group 1 had a re-growth of pituitary tumor.
