The principles of objectivity, truthfulness and impartiality

Author: YUSUF HAMDAMOV,
Abstract: The article deals with the specifics of using philosophical categories of objectivity, truthfulness and impartiality in the theory and practice of journalism. The traditions of interpretation of these principles - factualism and theorheism - are inherited from journalistic discourse and lead to appropriate understandable interpretations in journalism, resulting in more understandable methodological and ethical problems of media impartiality, as well as the lack of templates for evaluation of journalistic works. The author points to the main ways of solving these problems.
Keyword: objectivity, truthfulness, impartiality, media principles, media impartiality.
