Functional state of the heart and kidney in patients with chronic heart failure and atrial fibrillation

Abstract: Atrial fibrillation (AF) is one of the most common heart rhythm disorders. Its prevalence reaches 1% in the General population and exceeds 7% in people over 60 years of age. Among the total number of people hospitalized for arrhythmias, patients with AF make up about 40%, and the main reason for such hospitalizations is recurrent arrhythmias. The urgency of the problem the OP is dictated not only by the high frequency of associated thromboembolic complications and deterioration of patients' quality of life, but also a significant increase in the risk of total and cardiovascular mortality patients this urged us to conduct our research
