Microscopic Structure of the Cartilage Disc in Human Spine

Author: N. MAKHKAMOV, R. ISRAILOV, SH. ZIYAEV
Abstract: In this study, the topographic microscopic structure of the symphysis and cartilage disc of the human spine is illuminated. The synchondrosis of the spine consists of a symphysis between the vertebrae, a cartilage disc, a fibrous ring around it, and a resurrected core. On the surface of the upper and lower joints, the cartilage disc is densely adjacent to the articular surface of the spine. The inner surface of the cartilage disc is rather thick and consists of dense collagen fibers; the fibrous surface is relatively thin, surrounded by a fibrous layer about 2 times thinner. In different areas of the topography of the disc, a variety of histological structure of the cartilage tissue was observed. It was found out that in the dense cartilage layer of the edge, fibrous bunches are located along the circumference, in the inner layer of it in the radial direction, in the layer close to the resurrected core in the direction of chaos.
