Synergistic and Localized E-Commerce Application

Author: K. NAVEEN, K. SUJITH CHANDRA, S. PRAYLA SHYRY
Abstract: The activity of buying and selling goods, products and services through the internet is called e- commerce. Generally there are four types of e-commerce, they are business-business, business-consumer, consumer-consumer, consumer-business. Over the last two decades there has been a rapid change in the face of commerce. This made our lives sophisticated by making everything available at our finger tips. This made the life of small scale shopkeepers more miserable. Now we are at a stage where we are completely forgetting traditional shopping where we used to interact with the seller and enquire about the product of our interest, its price and then bargain whenever there is an over price. Finally if we are comfortable then we buy the product else move to the other shop. To answer the needs of both the customer and the seller we are bringing back the golden days of commerce back by bringing a first of its kind e commerce application which is localized and interactive. The e-commerce application we are proposing is not restricted to any one kind of e-commerce, this is basically an integration of all the above mentioned types of e-commerce. This application is firstly customized through pin code. Everything that can be bought and sold under law in the area customized is made available in this e-commerce platform. If a customer want to buy anything that ranges from biscuit to bulb, chocolate to charger, dipers to dhal customer searches for the product of their choice in the search bar. This feature comes in handy for illiterates or when the user does not know the local language. Customer can interact directly with shopkeeper through chat option for negotiating the price and for product details. Generally e-commerce sites will have warehouses only in first grade cities due to which products delivery to small towns and villages made difficult. As we are providing an e-commerce platform for Shop keepers in small town and villages their warehouses will be located within the reach of that particular town or village which solves the delivery problems faced by them while shopping in an existing e-commerce application or site.
