The aim of the study is to review the role of robots in healthcare settings. Robots are everywhere from science fiction to healthcare. These can be seen everywhere in the hospitals these days. Robotic medical assistants monitor patient vital statistics and also alert the nurses when there is a need for human assistance. Robotic carts may be seen moving through the hospital corridors carrying supplies. Robots are used in assisting supplies allowing doctors to conduct surgery from tiny incision to long surgeries. This literature review uses databases like PubMed from the years 2000-2020. The data extracted from the sources is tabulated using a data table concentrating on key outcomes like role of robots in health care, speciality used, the type of robots used in healthcare, advantages and disadvantages. The search keywords are robots, health care, surgeries, health settings. The collected data are analyzed and reported. Robots are used in patient rooms, operation theatres and surgical operations these days. They work in laboratories to take samples, analyze and store them. This review is done to know about the role of robots in healthcare.
