The Efficiency of Innovative Soybeans Planting

Author: S.V. INSHAKOV, A.V. REDKOKASHINA, A.A.REDKOKASHIN, I.I.BORODIN, E.V.SAVEL'EVA
Abstract: Planting method, row width and plant density are the main elements of soybeans variety agricultural practices. Germinating ability of seeds, density, evenness of stem thickness, height of plants and lower bean attachment, simultaneity of maturation, quality of harvesting and yield value depend on the methods of planting and distribution in rows. The analysis of existing planting methods allowed to reveal not only their advantages and disadvantages, but also to connect them with the seed application rate. From the point of view of the authors perspective methods of soybeans planting are double- and three-raw ones, where seeds are located in rows with alternating distance, while the distance between close rows should be 0.866 from the distance of the step of the seeds in a row, and the distance between distant rows should be 2 ... 5 times greater than the distance between close rows. At double-row planting, every three close-lying seeds of the neighboring grooves in the plan are located at the tops of an equilateral triangle, and at three-row planting, every four close-lying seeds of the neighboring grooves in the plan are located at the tops of a rhombus. The authors have made production approbation of this method and established geometric parameters of plant placement, consistent with the track of the machine and tractor unit, as well as a comparative analysis of the development of leaf surface area of soybean plants and yield at different methods of planting. As a control technology the continuous row planting method with the distance between rows of 0.15 m was used, as a comparative technology the wide row planting method with row spacing of 0.75 cm and the double-row planting method with variable parameters of row spacing were used. Evaluation of plant productivity is important not only as a way to predict yields, but also as a theoretical basis for improving cultivation methods. Forecasting of crop yields in double-and three-raw planting methods can be made by the characteristics of the registered plot. The authors have developed algorithms that allow to make a yield forecast, as well as set the value of possible relative error of calculation, which certainly occurs at relatively small areas of the registration plots.
