Sensitive and Developed Normal-FIA Methods for The Spectrophotometric Determination of Diosmin In Pharmaceutical Formulations Using Diazotization Coupling Reactions

Author: MAYASA MOHAMMED, SADEEM SUBHI ABED
Abstract: Two direct and simple flow injection methods (FIA) in spectrophotometric determination of diosmin DSN were described. Diosmin estimation was improved and based on the diazotization coupling reaction with two reagents metoclopramide (MCP) for method A and o-nitroaniline (ONA) for method B in alkaline medium .Both methods were formed an intense and stable water soluble dyes, the maximum absorbance of the reddish orange and orange colored products was showed at 493 and 479 nm for the two methods, respectively .Calibration graphs were linear at different concentration range of DSN 10 to 160 and 5 to 140 (µg/ml) , relative standard deviation (RSD% ) were 0.3 to 0.6 and 0.4 to 1.5 and throughput (sample/ h) of 90 and 84 for method (A) and method (B) .The current methods were applied to determine DSN in pharmaceutical formulations.
Keyword: Diosmin, flow injection analysis, spectrophotometry, metoclopramide, diazotization, o-nitro aniline.
