Preference of People Spending for Dental Problems in Vijayawada

Abstract: Background: Dental treatments contribute to one of the highest expenses among health services. The aims of the study were to assess dental expenditure, people’s interest in spending on dentistry. A self accessible questionnaire consisting of 10 questions was circulated online and the results were graphically interpreted. The present study inferred that most of the people were aware about maintaining proper oral hygiene but however felt that there was a lack of established dental clinics around the urban areas was conducted in 2020 in Vijayawada. Using a convenience sample, a survey link was sent to participants who underwent treatment in government and private dental clinics/hospitals. A self assessed questionnaire was shared to random people residing in the region of Vijayawada. The study concluded that people are willing to spend on dentistry if needed in the region of Vijayawada. Further, the study also proved to be useful for advanced research on the same
