Abstract: In nutrition, wellness, or physical fitness, weight loss refers to a decrease of overall body mass, by a mean loss of blood, body fat (adipose tissue), or lean mass (namely bone mineral reserves, skin, tendon, and other connective tissues). Certain common side-effects include fatigue, irritability, vomiting , constipation, dizziness, prolonged menstruation, muscle weakness and hair loss. The questionnaire was designed to assess the datas on demographics, rapid weight loss, disorders related to weight loss. The survey was conducted through an online setting. The data were collected and statistically analysed by SPSS software version 22. Results were collected in the form of pie charts. 75% were aware of side effects of rapid weight loss. 80% of the adults thought rapid weight loss is unhealthy and 19% thought healthy, 64% of the respondents did not believe that the surgical method helps in weight loss and 35% believed that.
