New facile technique for estimation of piroxicam in bulk drug

| Abstract:
|
A simple and cost-effective spectrophotometric method is established for the estimation of piroxicam. This method is based on the reaction between piroxicam and metal [Fe (III)] at room temperature forms a colored complex. The colored species has an absorption maximum at 534 nm and obey beer’s law in the absorption range 50-300 ?g.mL-1. The outcomes of studies were validated statistically and method was found to be suitable.
