A Review On Nanoparticles: Preparation And Their Applications In Pharmacy

Author: SAHIL HUSAIN SIDDIQUI, DR.SUSHMA VERMA
Abstract: In recent years, there is an increased interest in the researches and development of nanoparticles. Nanoparticles are a form of structure typically between 1 -100 nanometres (nm) in size. It shows enhanced properties such as high reactivity, sensitivity, strength, surface area, stability, etc. because of their very small size. These properties have been used to change or to improve the therapeutic properties of several types of drugs. Nanoparticles help in delivering of drug at controlled and sustained rate to the site of action, drug targeting to the sites of interest and to protect the drug molecules in the systemic circulation. In preparation of nanoparticles various types of polymers are used for drugs, hormone delivery, and proteins. This article focuses on nanoparticles, preparation, and their application.
