| Abstract:

Biotechnology has applications in four major industrial areas, including health care crop production and agriculture, non-food uses of crops and other products, and environmental uses. Utilisation of biological processes, organisms, systems to produce products which are anticipated to improve human lives are termed as biotechnology. Biotechnological processes are used for wastewater treatment, disposal of solid waste and environmental engineering and gas treatment for preventing environmental pollution environmental engineering, trickling filters Are extensively used among waste treatment technologies. This is a review based study where biotechnology plays some major role in waste management.
