Abstract: Disasters are sudden and massive damage causing events with atmospheric, geologic, and hydrologic origins. These disasters include landslides, earthquake, floods, tsunami, volcanic eruptions, road accidents and drought. Since 2 decades, natural disasters have killed millions of people and affected the lives of at least 1 billion people, and resulted in substantial economic crises Developing countries are affected disproportionately as they lack resources, infrastructure, and disaster preparedness systems. There is a high risk of outbreak of communicable diseases after natural disasters. Disasters can also be man-made like war and terrorism. Both in war and terrorism chemical, biological or radiological agent can be used. In any of these situations, significant social, environmental and economical impact would occur.
