| Abstract:
|
3-(1H-Azol-1-yl)propan-1,2-diols were obtained by three alternative synthetic pathways such as hydrolysis of 4-(1H-azol-1-ylmethyl)-2,2-dimethyl-1,3-dioxalanes, Wagner oxidation of 1-allyl-1H-azoles and condensation of glycidol with azoles. The 4-(azole-1-ylmethyl)-1,3-dioxolanes can be synthesized by reaction of 3-(1H-azole-1-yl)propan-1,2-dioles with ketones and exhibit various types of bioactivity.
