An Insight of Emerging Role of Nanotechnology for the Management of Athlete’s Foot

Author: KARTHICK , AISHWARYA REDDY, RAMAN SURESHKUMAR
Abstract: Fungal infections are invasive infection that may be life threatening. Most of the infection caused in nail, skin, and hair. But common skin infections were caused by dermatophytes, including Trichophyton rubrum and T. tonsurans and canis of microsporum with various symptoms, risk factors were treated by using topical agents and oral agents. To overcome various limitations arises from the traditional dosage form nanotechnology methods were used by using the various nanocarriers mainly nano emulsion gel were focused to produce better effectiveness and safety to avoid some risk factors in the management of athlete’s foot fungal infection. More number of nanotechnology methods were used in various fungal infection to provide better usage and reduce the side effects caused by the various fungal pathogen. This review mainly focuses on different nanotechnological approaches which include solid lipid nanoparticles, microspheres, liposome, niosomes, micro-emulsions, nano-emulsions.
