Stability indicating method development and validation for estimation of Remogliflozin Etabonate by UV-Spectrophotometric method

Author: UTTAM PRASAD PANIGRAHY
Abstract: A novel and simple stability indicating method for the estimation of Remogliflozin Etabonate in bulk and pharmaceutical dosage form has been developed by UV-Spectrophotometer. Acetonitrile was chosen as the solvent system. The wavelength (?max) was found to be 230nm. The responses were linear in the range of 25-150 µg/mL. The regression equation of the calibration graph and correlation coefficient were found to be y=0.005x+0.012 and 0.999 respectively. The %RSD values for accuracy and precision were less than 2%. The percentage assay of the drug from the sample was 99.47%. The developed UV-Spectrophotometric method was subjected to validation parameters like accuracy, precision, specificity, linearity, robustness and ruggedness was established as per the guidelines recommended by ICH. Stability indicating nature of the method was also performed by exposing the sample under various conditions like acid, base, peroxide, thermal and photo stability conditions.
