Investigating of Ground Nut Shell Ash Sic Weight Percentage Effect on Al-Mg Hybrid Composite Mechanical Behavior

Author: R.SRINIVASULU , SRINIVASA REDDY VEMPATI, UPPUTURI HARIBABU, V.GOPINADH, M.SRINIVASULU
Abstract: The goal of this research is to determine how the weight percentages of silicon carbide and ground nut shell ash (GSA) affect the mechanical characteristics and wear behaviour of metal grid composites in view of the Al6063 alloy. The improvements in the materials' mechanical and metallurgical qualities are the result of the ground nut shell ash supplemented in metal matrix. Using the stir casting technique, the Al6063 metal matrix composite with 0%, 1%, 2%, and 3% GSA, respectively, was created. Utilizing a pin-on-plate design, the wear conduct of the made composite was learned at different loads, sliding speeds, and distances. The discoveries of the analysis show that the applied burden and support weight rate are the main variables influencing each example's exceptional wear rate, trailed by the mass part of support, sliding velocity, and sliding distance.
