Synthesis And Developing Of New Thiazolodiones and Thiotriazole- Indoles as Potent Anticonvulsant Agents

Author: BASAVARAJ DINNIMATH, MANJUNATH LIMI, ROHINI R M,MUNISHAMA GOWDA, ROHIN, MUNISHA
Abstract: Indole derivatives are found in many natural products, having different biological and Pharmacological activities and the interesting biological activities of triazole and thiazolodione derivatives promoted us to synthesis indole moiety with sulphur and nitrogen containing heteronuleus and screen for anticonvulsant activity. The synthesized compounds were identifies by M.P and TLC, structures of derivatives were characterized by IR and NMR Spectral data. All synthesized compounds were tested for PTZ induce convulsion in mice. At 10 mg /kg dose significant activity (p<0.001) was observed from compounds 4 and 5, moderate activity was seen from compounds 2 and 3. Although the synthesized derivatives showed significant to moderate anticonvulsant activity, further study is neededfor understanding mechanism of action of these derivatives .
Keyword: , thiazolidione ,thiotriazole, anti-convulsant activity.
