Pharmacognostic investigation of fresh, powdered and anatomical sections of leaves of Sesbania bispinosa were carried out to determine its macro morphological, micro morphological and chemomicromorphological profiles. Qualitative studies indicated the presence of pinkish vascular bundle, palisad layer, epidermal layer green coloured leaves, Leaves pinnate, leaflet alternate or sub opposite ,bitter taste. These findings will be useful towards establishing pharmacognostic standards on identification, purity, quality and classification of the plant, which is gaining relevance in plant drug research.
