EFFECT OF CEMENT DUST EMISSIONS ON THE ACCUMULATION OF FLAVONOIDS IN PLANTS OF CENTRAL YAKUTIA

Abstract: The work is devoted to anthropogenic influence of cement dust on the accumulation of flavonoids in plants of Central Yakutia. Near the cement plant, the area is subject to man-made impact, which affects the density of the projective vegetation cover. Plants were collected in zones of strong and medium pollution with cement dust. The study found that plants of each species, collected in different environmental conditions, differ in the level of flavonoids. In the areas studied by us, in the zone of heavy contamination with cement dust (500 m from the plant), the most pronounced decrease in the content of flavonoids was noted. This fact is a consequence of the response to stress factors of plant organisms, which shows a decrease in the level of flavonoids in the most contaminated sites.
Keyword: Flavonoids, biologically active substances, cement dust.
