Molecular identification and Optimization of cellulose hydrolyzing bacteria isolated from the Cow Dung

Author: YAZI JASSIM, HAWRAA MOHAMMED RIDAH
Abstract: The enzymes that degradation biomass of cellulose are Cellulases which produced by the microorganisms that grow on cellulosic matter. The aim of this study was identified and screened of bacteria which have cellulase activity from the cow dung. In this study media that containing Carboxy Methyl Cellulose (CMC) was used to isolate bacteria that produce cellulase enzyme. The bacteria was identified by their morphology and biochemical characterization. The bacteria were also identified by 16S rDNA test. We determined activity of Cellulase by using CMC substrate and later product also determined by DNSA Media optimization was assayed at some different parameters. Isolate produces maximum cellulase at pH 7, temperature 37 ºC and 72 hrs of incubation time.
