Synthesis and Anti-depressant Activity of 2-Aminothiazo1es Substituted Quinazoline Derivatives

Abstract: Our Current Study Focus on the synthesis of derivatives of Quinazoline substituted with a series of 2-aminothiazole derivatives. Eighteen on compound from the series have been synthesized, characterized and tested for in vivo (Force pool swimming method) for anti-depressant activity. Compounds QA3 and QA11 induced amazing antidepressant activity compared to standard drugs at the dose of 20 mg/kg. Other compounds QA2, QA6, QA10, and QA18 passes moderate activity against standard Fluoxetine (75.36%) and Imipramine (72.82 %) compound which is 62.75%, 60.55%, 66.30% and 60.66% respectively. Some of the compound was found good activity compared to the standard compound Fluoxetine and Imipramine.
