Abstract: In the era of modern medicine, dentistry has been constantly changing with the advent of technology. Today's technology is seeing a paradigm shift towards better inter-professional communications that help doctors, patients and the masses in general. Advancement of dental technology has enhanced diagnostic quality, encouraging the provision of treatments, allowing the dentist to receive more effective treatment. The future dentists must be aware of the latest technologies and it’s advancements for better treatment. The aim of this study is to determine the knowledge and awareness of top technologies in dentistry among dental students. The present study is a cross sectional survey conducted among 101 dental students to analyse their knowledge and awareness of top technologies in dentistry. A self-administered questionnaire was prepared with 15 questions and was circulated among dental students through google forms. The responses were collected, and analysed by SPSS and the results were represented as pie charts and bar graphs. The majority of the dental students about 85.1% were aware of the importance of technology in dentistry. Most of them knew about the applications and limitations of technology while about 76% were unaware of the recent advancements. The present study concluded that a satisfactory knowledge and awareness about dental technologies is seen among dental students. They need to be more updated with the latest advancements.
