Analysis of Human Genome for Viral Proto - Oncogenes

Author: TWINKLE FRANCIS, MURALIDHARAN.N. P, DR. A.K ANJALI
Abstract: The human genome consists of multiple dispersed nucleotide fragments and sequences that are related to the proto-oncogene MOS and to pro retroviral sequences which are in light text position to each other. From sequencing appropriate closed fragments of human DNA in phage , studies have shown that plasmid vectors follow one of the regions, NV-1 and Cl-1. Oncogenes show an increased production of these proteins that leads to increased cell division, decreased cell differentiation and cell death inhibition which define the phenotype of cancer cells. Potential oncogenicity of a normal human genome undergoes two disputed influences : it increases due to proto- oncogene amplification and decreases due to inactivation of some of them. These genes should be active in development and that it may be positive to identify their roles by examination of embryonic tissues. Hence, this detailed study helps in the understanding of certain regulatory processes that may provide new approaches to therapeutics that have a significant impact on aberrant chromosomal structures.
