The article is devoted to the development of theoretical and methodological principles for the production of dietary supplements in mountainous territories and the assessment of its condition. The theoretical aspects of the resource approach and the principles of forming the resource base of dietary supplement manufacturers are disclosed. The assessment, analysis, and monitoring of the current state of the resource base and production of dietary supplements are carried out through the example of the Republic of Altai in the Russian Federation. The directions of the predicted development of the production of dietary supplements in mountainous territories are proposed and justified. The proposals on state support for antler reindeer husbandry in the Republic of Altai have been developed. Promising areas of state support for antler reindeer husbandry have been developed: institutional, material, technical, infrastructure, and resource.
