Structural components of bones of the hip joint in different periods of life

Author: KHOLHODLAEV FARRUKH IKROMOVICH, ORIPOV FIRDAVS SURATOVICH
Abstract: The comparative ratio of compact and spongy substances by the morphometric method was studied on 70 radiographs of the bones of the pelvic-femoral suture in women and men of reproductive and post-reproductive ages. A decrease in this indicator was found in all bones of the hip joint in individuals of both sexes of post-reproductive age. The studied copies of radiographs were divided into 4 groups: women and men of reproductive age, women and men of post-reproductive age. It was found that morphometric data were sharply reduced in women and men in the post-reproductive age. The comparative ratio of compact and spongy substances by the morphometric method was studied on 70 radiographs of the bones of the pelvic-femoral suture in women and men of reproductive and post-reproductive. These changes are pronounced in the proximal metaphysis of the femur of both sexes of post-reproductive age. Our research data plays an important role in explaining the causes of the high incidence of proximal femur fractures in the elderly.
